An AI contractor
for the UK.

I'm Ergini, a senior AI developer contracting remotely for UK companies as an overseas supplier - one hour ahead of London, direct B2B, no umbrella or agency. OpenAI and Claude integrations, RAG, agents, and automation, shipped to production.

What I build

AI integration

OpenAI, Claude, or open-source LLMs wired into your existing product. Streaming, tool-calling, structured outputs, RAG, eval.

RAG and knowledge bases

Retrieval over your documents with hybrid search, reranking, and citation grounding, hosted in the UK or EU as required.

AI agents

Goal-directed agents that call your tools and route through human approval on the actions that matter.

AI workflow automation

Lead gen, document processing, support triage, and back-office automation that saves real hours.

AI audits and consulting

Code review of your AI features, cost and latency audits, eval setup, and architecture review.

AI MVPs

End-to-end AI product builds for UK startups - design, frontend, backend, model integration, deployment.

How engagements work

  1. 01

Discovery call (free, 30 min). You describe the outcome, I ask hard questions, we both leave with a clear picture of what's needed.

  2. 02

Written scope and quote (3 days). Fixed-scope where possible, milestones, deliverables, and a price you can sign.

  3. 03

Build (2-10 weeks). Weekly demos. You see the system running every Friday, not at the end.

  4. 04

Ship and handoff. Deployment, monitoring, docs. Optional retainer for ongoing changes at $100/hr.

Frequently asked questions

Are you inside or outside IR35?

IR35 is designed for UK-based personal service companies. I am an independent supplier based in Kosovo, contracting B2B from my own entity outside the UK, so the off-payroll rules generally do not apply in the same way. That said, I am an engineer, not a tax adviser - your accountant should confirm the position for your specific engagement. I am happy to provide whatever contract clarity they need.

What are the working-hours and language details?

I work on CET, one hour ahead of the UK, so there is near-complete overlap with the British working day - live collaboration, not a handoff. English is my working language at a native-professional level. Remote-native, used to UK-style async and standups.

How does paying an overseas contractor work?

Direct B2B invoice from my entity to yours. As a non-UK supplier the VAT treatment is typically reverse-charge or out of scope of UK VAT, which keeps your accounting simple - again, confirm specifics with your accountant. No agency, no markup, no umbrella company.

What AI work do you take on for UK clients?

AI integration into your product, RAG and knowledge bases, AI agents, workflow automation, and end-to-end AI MVPs, across OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, and open-source models. Senior-only - I do the building, not the delegating.

Do you handle UK data protection requirements?

Yes. UK GDPR mirrors EU GDPR closely. I build EU and UK data residency, minimization, retention, and deletion controls into AI features by default. See my GDPR-compliant AI development service for how that works in practice.

What does it cost?

Fixed-scope AI integrations typically range $3.5K-$45K, AI MVPs $5K-$60K, hourly $100/hr - competitive with UK senior contractor day rates while delivering production-grade work. Scoped after a free 30-minute call.
